Brian's Success Story

Hi Steve,

I hope this finds you well. I just wanted to tell you my story that you've really helped with.  In June 2009 I weighed 327 pounds. I was 28 years old and life was going nowhere. I was laying on the couch and watching TV and I started having severe heart palpitations. I saw myself dying before I could see my two very young nieces grow up. At that point I decided to change my life. I bought a Bowflex.  It arrived on June 30 and I started working out July 1st. I started starving myself and working out every day on the Bowflex.  This worked for a while but I got stalled at about 60 pounds lost. I also didn't have very good muscle growth.  At that time I knew I needed some help so I started looking around the Internet for some advice.

I was very fortunate to have found your Youtube videos. I was up until 3AM watching all of the videos you have posted. You really opened my eyes and I realized I was doing it wrong. Since then I have been going to an actual gym at work and eating a lot better. I actually do cardio now! As of this morning, (8/12/10), I have lost 108 pounds and I am down to 219lbs. I've gone from wearing 4XL shirts down to Large.  I've gone from size 48 pants down to size 36.  I'm now healthy enough to run 10 minute miles on the treadmill at work.  I'm stronger than I've ever been.  I am healthier than I've ever been.  I never would have gotten over my hump if it wasn't for your videos. With your help I'm going to be below 200lbs for the first time in my adult life.

I really want to thank you for sharing your vast level of knowledge on Youtube so people like me can find it and really change my life for the better.  Thank you so much Steve!

Good Day Steve,

This email is LONG overdue. I just wanted to tell you the great success I've had implementing your tips and advice into my life and workout routine. Like most people, I was your typical brainwashed individual. I believed all the hype and garbage the media put out and was just so confused. I'd drink tons of protein shakes throughout the day, and wondered why I wasn't getting leaner. I avoided carbohydrates, and wondered why I felt like crap during my workouts and just getting through life. I performed the P90X routines and was wondering why I wasn't getting any bigger or stronger. All this to end up FATTER!

I found your videos about a year ago. I hated what you said at first because it had gone against everything the media, companies, and infomercials wanted to believe. Slowly but surely, I implemented the advice given to me by you and Brushfour into my life. First I lowered my calories down to 2200. then I cut out the protein shakes, and then I quit the ineffective cardio routine I had been performing and replaced it with running and sprints. I started doing basic lifts in the gym as well.

A year later, I have dropped a stubborn 10 pounds of body fat on an already decent body, and gained 6 lbs of lean mass. Now i weigh around 191 lbs and am 5'11. My lifts have also increased dramatically since listening to your exercise files. Now, I had a good base to start with because I used to powerlift back in high school.

Leg Press-5 plates-->8 plates
Bench press-225-->335
Bicep Curls--.50 lb dumbbells-->65 lb dumbbells
Pull ups-15-->30

Your Video Save me!

Hey Steve, i just want to say your Protein Shakes Mean Extra Calories video saved me! I was a believer that in order to build muscle, protein shakes are necessary! I thought protein from food wasnt good enough. As soon as i stoped drinking those protein shakes, my bodyfat, especially around my stomach, started to melt off. Those extra calories were doing me more harm than good and i did not even realize it. Thank you so much for your help!
PS - I listen to your CD almost every day and it helped me in so many ways!  Thanks!  Olymsailor83

Hey Steve, I don't think you remember me, but I just wanna say thank you. I've reached my goal; 18 lbs in 2.5 months and size 32 pant from size 36!! I remember in the beginning of my program I was just so confused what to do to lose weight. Your videos and every simple but true information are really realistic and work!

I know I still have a lot of fat, but really with my weight now (153 lbs, 5 feet 5 inch) I have plenty of energy to keep going and start living!! THANKS AGAIN!  ~Cahyowjow

Hi Steve!
I watched many of your videos on your youtube channel and I can't tell you enough how helpful they really are! Not too long ago I watched your protein facts and muscle building video because i was starting to get nervous whether i should start taking protein supplements or stick with my regular diet which contains all the healthy food; whole grains, fruits, vegetables, all the healthy fats and such. I work out 6 days a week with a rest day on they seventh. When I watched your video on protein facts and muscle building it was like a cinder block fell off my shoulders, quite a relief. It is good to know that I can stick with my healthy diet and not worry about taking in powder.     So thanks again!   David
