America’s 1st weight loss talk show.  Steve Turano will tell you the truth so you can take control of your weight, your health, and your happiness. He will help you, “Love your body!”
 
Americans spend $30 billion dollars annually on weight loss and another $100 billion on medical related issues. Why hasn’t somebody produced a talk show specifically about weight loss?  Imagine the profitability of a show that is the support and inspiration for 80% of Americans fighting to lose weight.  Imagine a weight loss talk show with the format of Oprah, Ellen, or Dr. Phil whose market is everybody who wants to lose weight and look great.
 
My name is Steve Turano and I'm a weight loss & fitness expert in Tampa, Florida interested in helping Americans achieve their weight loss & fitness goals. I have the expertise and experience to easily explain and demystify weight loss. But more importantly I have the wit and imagination to entertain and motivate an audience. This is achieved by simplifying the science and creatively explaining weight loss & fitness while eliminating myths and misunderstandings, showing my audience how to lose weight regardless of the foods they eat. All without promoting any diet products or presenting negative information towards any food groups, product manufacturers, or potential advertisers.  The goal of the show is to be interesting, entertaining, and eye opening while becoming as trusted as Oprah simply by offering viewers the truth.
 
Show Format - 30 minutes
 
1. Talk show studio layout. Open the show and welcome the viewers and audience. Speak for 5-7 minutes on a weight loss topic or fitness fact such as:
 
§ You may be overweight but you don’t overeat.
§ You burn 99% of the calories you eat each day.
§ Weight gain is the gradual accumulation of a small amount of calories.
§ Just 100 extra calories a day is 10 pounds gained in a year.
§ How do you know if you’re overeating?
§ Does eating 5-6 meals a day really help weight loss? How about drinking water?
§ Is heart rate really important for burning fat?
§ I’m doing aerobics but not losing weight?
§ All diets work just pick one.
§ It doesn’t matter what you eat to lose weight.
§ Foods don’t cause weight loss. Less food causes weight loss.
§ Can I eat at night?  Then what about daylight savings?
§ A healthy diet can make you fat.
§ Dealing with weight loss failure and eating guilt.  Eating disorders.
§ Kids – eating, activity, and weight loss.
§ How do I increase my bench press for high school football?
§ How do I safely strengthen my 16 year old’s throwing arm for baseball?
§ Can I start lifting weights at 45?
§ How can I safely, yet effectively, increase my strength and flexibility for golf?
 
I have 236 unique videos on You Tube none of which were scripted. With my knowledge, along with audience questions and participation, the topics would be limitless.  We could have entire shows simply answering viewer questions.
 
2. Humorously engage the audience for 5-7 minutes taking and answering questions related to theirs diets, exercise routines, frustrations, etc.
 
3. Feature prerecorded exercise or workout segments for 5-7 minutes.
 
4. Guest speaker for 5-7 minutes. Guests would include local chefs and restaurants offering healthy recipes and menu items. Local and national celebrities and sports figures sharing their fitness routines, workouts, exercises and weight loss regimens.  Local orthopedic surgeons discussing injuries, prevention, and treatments.
 
Segments would also address the weight and health crisis of America’s youth. I currently receive hundreds of weight loss and fitness questions a month from kids ranging in ages from 13 to 18 who need answers but have no where to turn and nobody to trust. Next would be a Kid’s Club for weight loss with a possible spin off show.  Not to mention discussing the abuse and dangers of anabolic steroids for young athletes.
 
Remember, weight gain affects everybody; 7 of 10 Americans are overweight and 9 of 10 Americans are out of shape. Everybody can relate to the frustration of not having success at losing weight or the need to look and feel better. Americans need answers. Americans need the truth.  I ask you, “How can you have failed at losing weight if you’ve never been taught the correct way to do it?”
 
There is also incredible potential to sell effective, valuable products like books, workout programs, healthy cook books, exercise clothing line, food products (note the success and purchase of VitaminWater by Coca-Cola for $4 billion dollars) t-shirts, hats, etc. Promoting the show by radio or live seminars would be easy and effective as well.  Cross promoting the show with brands like Nike, Lean Cuisine, Gatorade, General Mills, Kellogg’s, PowerBar, Advil, etc. would be a natural.
 
I’m simply offering the truth about weight loss & fitness but packaged and presented in an original, factual, non-threatening, easy to understand format.  I’m already doing it on You Tube.
